TRAVEL TICKETS
Flights and Train travel tickets will be reimbursed after the workshop within the following limitations and rules;

TICKET MAXIMUMS 
Travelers within USA:

East Coast $500
Midwest: $800
West Coast: $1100

Travelers outside the USA:
Europe $1200
Other locations: Please contact the US coordinator with ticket price, email.

TRAVEL AIRFARE INSTRUCTION & RULES

Once the meeting coordinator has shared the travel details and instructions, please make your own travel arrangements to Boston, Massachusetts and share your ticket information including cost with Sara Bradley for budget tracking. Please be sure to be aware of the following guidelines;

  • Federal travel restrictions apply. Coach/economy fares only. No domestic baggage fees allowed unless one carry-on bag is not included.

  • Fly America/Book through US Carrier only rules apply. Fly America Website Note: Northeastern University (NEU) will not be able to reimburse flights that do not comply with Fly America rules.  For travel outside the USA, please use US carriers whenever possible. Many major EU/European airlines have US partners and can be booked via the US airline partner (Code-sharing). There is a list of countries under ‘Open Skies’ listed on the website above that also qualify. Note: Great Britain and Turkey are not EU countries so British Airways (and other British airlines) and Turkish Air flights are not currently allowed.
  • NEU cannot reimburse flights purchased with a voucher.
  • Please make air/ground transportation reservations as early as possible to take advantage of lower fares. 

  • Please make sure your boarding passes are available to submit with your reimbursement post-conference. Images are fine.

Reimbursements will be coordinated and issued by Northeastern University post workshop.  

OTHER MEALS, TRAVEL EXPENSES, ETC
Most workshop meals will be catered by the workshop directly.
Other meals, cabs, local transportation, etc will not be reimbursed.

HOTEL
The workshop hotel is the Cambria in Cambridge, MA. Attendees stay will be paid for directly by the workshop.The Cambria is within waking distance of the workshop location. Reservations to be made via the workshop US coordinator only.
NOTES:
* Do not contact the hotel directly to make a reservation. The reservation desk will not have access to our block of rooms.
* Check n and Check Out dates will be gathered from attendees via the registration process. Reservation changes will have to be made through the US coordinator
